Western Educational Equity Assistance Center:
WEEAC is offering self-paced courses (via their Virtual College), and take anywhere from 2-5 hours. Participants who complete a course will receive credit from MSU Denver's Lifelong Learning Department. Many districts are accepting these courses as CLDE credit. They also offer number of podcasts and webinars on different topics that you may find beneficial.

READ ACT Professional Development Information from CDE:
Steps to comply with CDE requirements for Teachers of Reading – 45 hours
Step 1: Take one of the CDE Offerings listed below:
*Take the CDE Online Course, self-paced, mid-August, rolling registration, demonstration of proficiency is included in the course – cost is free (Public Consulting Group)
* Take the CDE Face-to-face Course (will be virtual now via Zoom), demonstration of proficiency is include in the course – cost is free (Keys to Literacy)
Or
*Take the CDE Specific Reading Exam (#5205) to demonstrate proficiency (need a score of 159 or above), cost is about $80.00-100.00
Or
*Take LETRS 3rd edition, demonstration assessment provided at end of course, cost will be individual expense or possibly district, if allowable (this is not a READ Act funds allowable expense)
Or
*Take any other trainings on the CDE approved list – individual expense, demonstration assessment provided at end of course:

1 day = 7.5 clock hours = 0.5 PD semester hours credit
2 days = 15 clock hours = 1.0 PD semester hours credit
3 days = 22.5 clock hours = 1.5 PD semester hours credit
